Jacky was called to the Bar in 2010. He has developed a broad civil practice as a barrister in Hong Kong. He has rich experience in both trial and appellate advocacy.

He is a Chartered Arbitrator, a fellow member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), and a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators (FHKIArb).

He is an Accredited General and Family Mediator of the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (HKMAAL).

He has been a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of The University of Hong Kong since 2012, teaching Land Law, Property Litigation and Tort Law. He has also been a Lecturer at the School of Law of City University of Hong Kong since 2019, teaching Trial Advocacy and Litigation Writing and Drafting.

He has been appointed a Board Member of the Torture Claims Appeal Board to hear and determine appeals made under section 37ZR and applications for revocation decisions under section 37ZM of the Immigration Ordinance (Cap. 115), and the Chairman of the Appeal Tribunal Panel, Buildings Ordinance (Cap. 123), Laws of Hong Kong.
